VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Organization: PHASE Nepal
PHASE Nepal is a not for profit NGO established in
2006 by a group of development professionals dedicated to supporting
poor communities in remote areas of Nepal. For the last 12 years PHASE
Nepal has been implementing Health, Education and Livelihoods
improvement programmes in Humla, Bajura, Mugu, Gorkha and Sindhupalchok
districts. Currently, PHASE Nepal’s projects health, education,
livelihoods and reconstruction are funded by number of institutional and
individual donors from different countries. PHASE has over 140 staff
working for different projects. PHASE Nepal is currently in need of the
following 2 staff members:
1. Position: Admin and Finance Assistant
Duty Station: Kathmandu
Salary: 20,000 – 30,000 per month
Job Description:
o General administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning and photo copying to management;
o Arrange the meeting, workshop, seminar, training, and another related program;
o Directly support to HR officer & recruitment team during the staff enrollment;
o Prepare staff contract, experience certificate, transfer letter, CIT letter ,ID cards and other letters when needed;
o Visit NEA, Nepal Telecom, and Nepal Water Supply Corporation for bill payment;
o Visit bank for deposit and other office related work.
o Keep a record of the asset, maintain inventory, verify log sheet of vehicles and Fuel bill.
o Coordinate with insurance companies for staff’s health and accidental insurance.
o Answer and transfer phone calls and forward emails;
o Record accounts payable and accounts receivable;
o Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and partners as needed;
o Support to finance and logistic department as and when required.

Qualification and Experiences: Should have completed
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Management with minimum 1
year of substantial experience in administration and finance department.
Must have good command in communication skill, should have fluency in
both English and Nepali language. S/he must have excellent computer
knowledge (Office packages) and nepali typing skill. Should possess two
wheeler license.
2. JTA
Duty Station: Sindhupalchok
Basic salary and Benefits: NRS 24,138 per month
(basic starting salary scale) plus 10% provident fund after three months
of probation period, one month’s salary as festival bonus after working
for a year plus health and medical insurance.
Responsibilities : The JTA will report to the
Livelihood Supervisor and Project Manager, is responsible for
distributing agricultural inputs (seed, irrigation materials, plastic
sheets, poultry, goat) in the community, identifying/forming/reforming
farmers’ groups, conducting training to the local groups, forming saving
and credit groups and supporting those groups in mobilizing saving and
credit activities.
Experience and Qualification required: Technical SLC
(TSLC) in Plant Production ,Animal Husbandry with minimum of 2 years’
experience as JTA. Experience in community mobilization activities will
be an added advantage. VET JTA are encouraged to apply and will be given
high preference.
